You’ve Got to Try This Breakfast Recipe!

I am very excited! I finally bought a new blender, I got a Ninja Mega Kitchen System (BL773CO). This smoothie recipe is one that I usually make and drink in the warmer months. This is my quick-healthy breakfast recipe that is one of my all-time favorites. I came across this recipe one day online. There are three different versions of this breakfast smoothie drink, but one in particular is my ultimate favorite and I will share that one first!

I use the smaller blender container, the one pictured in the middle, to blend my breakfast smoothie.

Nonja Box

My recipes, I say to use 4 ice cubes, you can add more or less depending on your liking and the size of the ice cubes. With a regular ice tray, four cubes worked perfect for me!

My Favorite Smoothie Version-

In a blender, blend the following ingredients along with 4 ice cubes: the original recipe did not call for ice cubes, but I added them myself and in my opinion it makes all the difference in the recipe.

  1. Orange (juice or squeeze the orange and blend together). I just squeeze the juice from the orange to save time.
  2. Add 2 tbsp of crushed almonds (I use store bought sliced almonds. They blend beautifully in my opinion.)
  3. 2 tbsp flax seeds, grounded (I buy already grounded.)
  4. 2 fresh or dried figs (the recipe says to soak dried figs in the water for a half hour before use, but I never have any problem not doing so). I have yet to use fresh figs and have no problem with the dried figs.
  5. Add 1/3 cup water and the four ice cubes
  6. Blend the remaining ingredients

I absolutely love this recipe when I have it before work it keep me full up until my first break and even sometimes up to my lunch time. The best part is that everything in this smoothie is very healthy! I am smaller framed too, so don’t feel bad if this doesn’t keep you full as long as it does for me. If it doesn’t you can maybe have some almonds on the side too!

Here is the blender I got with all the ingredients all ready to blend up.

The Blender I use and Mason Jar

All blended and ready to pour into my mason jar which is for some reason my favorite way to drink smoothies.

Ninja

All ready to enjoy. You can blend to your liking. I blend mine on the medium setting for 15-17 seconds to where it is really blended. I’ve also had my smoothies to where the ingredients are lightly blended and that isn’t bad either.

All Blended

I LOVE THIS SMOOTHIE!!

Below are the other two recipes-

Blend together the following with four ice cubes:

  1. 1 cup raspberries (Frozen is okay, but fresh is better in my opinion.)
  2. Slice and add an apple (You can remove the skin if you’d like, but I never do. Just make sure to wash the skin if you plan to use it.)
  3. Add 1 banana
  4. 1/2 a lemon
  5. 1 tbsp of flax seeded (grounded)

Following is the third recipe-

Blend the following with 4 ice cubes:

  1. Add 2 kiwi (I scoop out the green part of the kiwi and do not include the skin.)
  2. 1 banana
  3. 1/2 an apple
  4. 1 tbsp flax seeded (grounded)
  5. 1 tbsp hazelnuts (grounded)

Try these out if you get a chance. They are quick to make and perfect for breakfast in my opinion. They are great for someone on a diet or someone looking for a low calorie and healthy meal.

Let me know what you think if you get the chance to try out these recipes. Comment on what your favorite is or share some other recipes with me. I would love to try them and possibly write about my thoughts of them too.
